How to Style a Wedding Table? The Checklist!

Not only is The Function Suite a top wedding venue it also provides top wedding services and packages all under the one roof literally what more could you want? We hate to be big headed but it’s true so as professional venue dressers we have put together the ultimate wedding table checklist just to remind our brides of all the necessities needed when totting up their wedding package requests. And not that were being boring traditionalists in our wedding approach but some things have just got to make appearance however the decoration or form it is in is up to you, just share with us your taste and leave the creativeness to us.

So here goes:

  1. Place Settings

Well these are sort of obvious, as guests will need these to eat; they are however a fabulous addition to the table making it look fancy, full and purposeful even the simplest setting can create a wow.

 

  1. Place Cards

Adding place cards to the tables makes guests feel individually a part of your Wedding day so they are definitely a must for daytime reception guests as this part of the day is when we want to create an intimate feeling straight after the ceremony. They are also cute to keep as memorabilia so the more decorative the better.

 

  1. Centerpieces

Some say the centrepiece is the key component in the decorative theme of a wedding and I would say I agree the centrepiece can definitely set the tone of the room being such a focal point to all guests that’s why I always particularly recommend a piece with an added candle it creates a romantic feel and natural warmth to the table we have various centrepiece’s available at The Function Suite such as; Candleabra’s, Tall Diamond Globes & Lanterns plus more we are also able to take requests too.

 

  1. Wedding Favours

Along with place cards wedding favours again add that togetherness of the Wedding party; it’s not just a gathering it’s a once in a life time Wedding and therefore the invite is very special to the couple and so the guest should be thanked for their attendance however since we are probably catering for at least 75 minimum it’s only a little thanks as you have already bought their meal so we must keep the cost down but be inventive.   1. Table Linen

Total must have linen is the background to the table and therefore an essential it’s often a good idea to change this after daytime reception for evening guests just a simple way of refreshing the room and keeping it fabulous!

 

  1. Chairs

And of course your guests need a seat to rest up those feet in between dancing, its nice to add a small decoration to the chairs to incorporate them in with the theme whether it be a bow, jewel, pearls you name it we can add it!
